She weighed 18.7# (50th%) She was 28 in tall (25th%) and her head was 18 in around (90th %...hahaha!) The Dr. said she looked great and is doing everything she should be at this age...and more.

This past weekend my mom and grandma came to town for my brother's college graduation. We had a great weekend and a wonderful Christmas celebration. (Thanks again Mom!!!) We already miss her very much and can't wait until we get to see her again!

Chicago Pics

Most of these pictures were taken of me when mommy and I took a trip to Chicago. I got to go see my Grandma that I miss very very much. Mommy really misses her too! Grandma couldn't believe how big and smart I am. She was amazed at all the things that I can do. I got to see lil' lady's puppies Tara and Annie. I loved when they gave me kisses. Mommy, Grandma and Aunt Kathie took me to get my ears pierced. My earrings are little pink daisies and I just love them. I also got to see Great Grandma, Great Grandpa, Jacob, Zachary and Uncle Doug. I had a lot of fun and I can't wait to go back!

6 Month Appt.

Does everyone know that I turned 6 months old last sunday (the 10th)? Mommy said she can't believe how fast I am growing. Thursday morning mommy got me dressed and packed my bag and told me that we were going "byebyes" which I LOVE to do. After a short car ride we went into this little brick building that looked a little familiar to me. Mommy talked to a lady at a glass window, signed my name and then we had to wait for them to call me. When they said my name, mommy and I went back to a little room where a nurse weighed and measured me and took my temperature. The nurse said that I weighed 16.8 lbs. (50%) and I was 26 1/2" long.(75%) Mommy said that means that I have gained 2 lbs and 2 inches in 2 months. I guess I am growing pretty fast!! After all that this nice lady came in, talked to my mommy for a while and then checked me ALL over. She played with me and made me smile and laugh, I really liked her. She had this funny toy hanging from her ears that she put on my chest, back and belly. It was very cold and I tried to grab it off of her. When the nice lady left the nurse came back and just when I thought she was going to play with me, she poked me in my leg and OUCH!!! IT REALLY REALLY HURT!! In fact, as I was crying she poked me two more times. By this time I was so upset that mommy could barely calm me down. Good thing it was time for my bottle. Mommy gave it to me, I drank the whole thing and then I took a long nap. When I woke up we were at home and I was better. That night I just couldn't sleep. I was up just about every hour. In fact mommy and I ended up sleeping on the couch together for awhile, I really liked that.

My first trip to the Canfield Fair! I loved it!! I got to see so many funny looking animals that made really silly noises. Mommy said they were called goats, ponies, sheep, cows, chickens, rabbits and little piggies. I tried to kiss every animal I could get my hands on. As you can see this little baby goat didn't like my kisses. When the owner of this goat brought him out just to see me his mommy stood up on a big box and made lots of noise. I bet that's what my mommy would do if she couldn't find me. So after a short visit we put the baby back in the pen with his mommy. I really loved the fair and I can't wait to go again next year!

Is it Halloween already?

Mommy knows it's a little early, but she just couldn't resist!

Almost 5 Months

Andrea will be 5 months old on August 10th. Wow, can you believe in september she will be 6 months old. I don't know, 6 mo just seems so old to me. In the previous post I said that Andrea loves to play with her toes but she was not yet able to get them to her mouth. The very next day she was sucking on her toes. It was like she knew that I said she couldn't do something and she wanted to prove to me that she could. She is now eating green beans and sweet potatoes. She loves sweet potatoes! Next it's on to squash and carrots! These days Andrea has been rolling like crazy. As soon as you put her on her back she immediately starts rolling over, which can get frustrating when you are trying to change a dirty diaper. While on her belly she has really been trying to get up on all fours. She is able to scoot a couple of inches at a time but she really wants to crawl. She also likes to be on her belly more now. She has also been teething for what seems like months. She will chew on anything and everything that comes near her. She also drools like a St. Bernard. I feel so bad sometimes b/c you can tell that her gums hurt so much. I hope for her sake that these teeth start to come. For those of you that don't know Dan is starting school in the fall at YSU. He is enrolled in a 2 yr program that will make him a lineman with First Energy when he is finished. Currently I am working full-time (2 eight hr shifts and 2 twelve hr shifts a week) and Dan is home with the baby. Dan has learned really quick how to be a great father. It makes it a little easier when I have to work to know that Andrea is able to spend the day with her daddy.

Hello!

This is our first attempt at a blog. Andrea and I thought this would be a good way for family and friends to stay up-to-date with all things Andrea. We will try to stay current with pics and all the new things that Andrea is learning. Andrea turned 4 months old on July 10th and she is still such a happy and pleasant baby. She is smiling and laughing so much these days (especially for her daddy.) She definitely loves her mommy but when daddy walks into the room her eyes just light up....and so do daddy's. It makes my heart melt. On July 13th she went to the dr.'s for her 4 mo check-up and shots. She now weighs 14 lbs. 7 oz. (75th%) She is 24 1/2" long (50%) and her head circumference is 16" (75%). She got 4 shots in her legs...which was so hard for mommy. Dr. said she is doing terrific. She even showed the dr. how well she rolls over. I was a little nervous how she would do after her shots, but she did great. No fussiness and no fever. Boy am I lucky! It continues to surprise me how much Andrea changes and grows everyday. It seems like she learns something new everyday. Her new favorite toy is her exersaucer. Since she loves to stand on her feet and play with her toys...this is the perfect toy for her. She also loves her Baby Einstein videos. It is so cute how she will just sit there and watch the t.v. so intently. She even coos and laughs at the videos. The baby einstein videos are the best. Andrea has also been started on baby foods. She has been eating rice cereal for a couple of weeks now. We also started green beans two days ago. The first day she made really silly faces and spit it all out. The second day I think she actually liked them. Andrea's latest trick...she found her FEET! She loves to grab them anytime she can. She can't yet put them in her mouth though, but I'm sure that's next.
